it's 2:12am, I'm depressed, what better time to put effort into art~

this my my delayed half of an art trade with my wonderful new friend :iconcherry-ala-mode: {anyone interested, her awesome piece is here > [link] }. I hope she doesn't look too trashy. D: Her hair's quite poofy lolol.

Anyway, this is her character, Amber, done in my Hiku style. <3 Tried colouring eyes a different way.
She's cranky because someone stuck a smiley face to her skirt and she only just noticed - YEAH IT HAS STORY. ;D

If there's any problems, I'll edit them later, I'm too tired. ;o;

Amber looks so adorable in your style. I adore how you drew her puffy hair; it looks great! Her pout is just awesome. It seems as if she really is saying "Who put that smiley face on me? >:C" The outfit is awesome too. I like the mismatched leggings!

No worries, I was hoping you'd like it, I worked extra hard because I love the half you did for me. <333 I tried to make a much better bg but it came out crap. :c

I actually did the expression and all before anything, so I added the smiley face as a joke haha. xD I think that came out quite well.

I was really concerned about the poofiness of the hair, as I looked back at your ref I was like "whoops :noes:" but I'm glad you like that too. <3
And the mismatched leggings were okay? Yaaaay! *sways*

Haha, she looks great; I really like that background color and texture with the character, nice and subtle and a good medium between the reds and rose.
