more practice with fully digital artwork. d00ds like the new style?
took 3 or 4 days. I was soo uncreative with the background, I was supposed to test my rain drawing skills, instead I drew clouds and made funny people shapes out of preset brushes {though, I like the woman with the long neck 8D} Might add more rain or update it sometime. Before I tell the story, I'd like to thank Yamikue from gaia, ~theladymacbeth and ~Royalrasengun for their suggestions, critique and support while I drew this piece. <3 Okay, so, here's the story. My characters Lila and Meredith are roaming the in-between, a place where spirits roam. Meredith is already dead, she has lost all senses to the cold and pain from any injury. While Lila is still extremely human, and is coming to terms with the horrible surroundings she's in, she's also had a tumble with some strange creatures in the area. When those feelings fade and she becomes numb, that's the time when she will realise she can never leave this place. They have a mere 24 human hours for her to escape. {this however, feels much longer in this world, as there is no time} Meredith's eye is all stuffy because a) it's cool and b) it's a part of a curse she bares, given to her by a certain death god who likes to cause trouble. When monsters are about, the rain usually comes, and with it does the curse. Many other spirits despise Meredith and shun her, believing she brings evil to the land. The monsters and lost spirits are neutral towards Meredith, but not Lila. As Meredith can't control these beings and can only help someone who asks, she guides Lila in the hope she'll have a second chance in life. Unlike her. The rain looks really good, too. <3 I don't know why, but something looks.. off for Lila's face... Then again, I fail with humans myself, so it's probably just my imagination XD -- ....Woof! No no. Age Before Beauty. - Chopper, Ace Combat 5  I think the background looks good, nice and moody and all. With more definition it would lose some of its mystique. I like their haire too.
Only problem I have is their expressions look a little blank, don't be afraid to go a bit overboard with the emotiveness. There are really expressive ways to do a blank expression even. -- ／l、 （ﾟ､ ｡ ７ < Nin, nin! l、 ~ヽ じしf_,)ノ Thank you. <3
Yeah, I started to think after a while that the background probably wouldn't look too good more detailed, I just think the fact the characters were the only thing with lineart was throwing me off. I really can't seem to get the hang of expressions, and eyebrows. D: I've been trying to find tuts lately for faces but no matter how hard I try, the faces always look odd. -- Chickeeeeeen~ Thank you. <3333
