The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Help with German? <v<

I was wondering if people would be willing to help with my German study [eg, speakers of the language ;;].
See, I'm back to doing lessons, but I seem to skip out on studying, though I study at least an hour a day and on the bus. I seem to work well with being given homework -- I'm always motivated to finish it.

So, if anyone would be willing to give me words to form some sentences [that they could correct if they felt the need /terrible with grammar] that would be so fantastic! ;u; OR; sentences to translate would also be helpful! I can read fairly well.

Here's an example of a homework word list I got last term:

"Kaufen, laufen, geben, haben, Montag, "am 7 Uhr", fahren, der Obstsalat, die Ananas, der Korb, wiegen, der Nachbar, Am Abend, essen, klein, groß, sauber, schmutzig, un/freundlich."

I'd like any verbs, common words, etc, anything that would find suitable! I really need to expand my vocabulary, and I only know simple words, really.

Also, as for sentences to translate; anything that challenges Genetiv, Dativ und Akkusativ prepositions [eg, using dem, der and den instead of the usual der, die and das] would be helpful, as my teacher seems to be focusing on that most!

If any of you guys and friends could help, that would be really swell! ;; Leave something here, or note me, I really don't mind!

Well, I'd just really like some help with learning more words and using them more often. I can read quite a few things... Nothing too complicated, but I can never seem to write the same amount out. ;; It's frustrating.
